Sparco- Sparco footwear combines race-proven performance with refined Italian design. Lightweight materials, precise grip soles, and ergonomic construction enhance pedal feel and control, while sleek silhouettes and purposeful detailing reflect Sparco’s motorsport heritage.
Project Brief:
Designed for beginners and those seeking a more accessible option, this footwear delivers race-inspired performance at an entry-level price point. Built with rounded heels for smooth pedal transitions and a lightweight construction for enhanced control, it supports competitive driving with an aggressive, performance-driven design. At the same time, its comfort and modern styling make it versatile enough to wear beyond the racetrack.

Analyzing current footwear trends and racing boot technology while maintaining performance and comfortability among the users.
Performance
The footwear must reflect the demands of modern motorsport. It should feel lightweight, responsive, and precise—enhancing pedal control and driver connection—while expressing a sharp, performance-driven design language true to Sparco’s racing DNA.
Legacy
Sparco has a deep-rooted heritage in competitive racing. The design should honor this legacy through authentic motorsport details, technical construction, and purposeful branding, while evolving to meet the expectations of today’s drivers.
Comfort
Beyond performance, the footwear should prioritize all-day wearability. Ergonomic shaping, breathable materials, and cushioned support should provide lasting comfort, allowing the shoe to transition seamlessly from competitive racing environments to everyday use without sacrificing style or function.
Footwear Sketching
I began with a basic Sparco footwear shape and made overlays to sketch diffrent designs on the shapes. With a few selected designs chosen, I began to alter the shape to fit the comfortability part of my design guidelines. Eventually landing on the design that I feel best represents my guidelines and the Sparco brand.
Procreate Render
With the paper sketches done I moved over to procreate to establish a render of my vision for my Sparco footwear design.
