Broadview Heights- Broadview Heights is a family-friendly suburb in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, located about 15 miles south of Cleveland. Known for its safe neighborhoods, strong schools, and abundant parks, the city offers a welcoming community atmosphere with convenient access to both outdoor recreation and urban amenities.
Project Brief:
Broadview Heights is looking to expand its re-development of the city. Develop a master plan that ties an otherwise disjointed campus design together and supports and promotes Broadview Heights as the place to live, work and play. Create these environments naturally, so the development is sustainable and natural.
Project: Design
The city has several new buildings they are asking you to explore for their campus and they include:
- A new fire station
- A new library (exploring the next generation of Library services)
- Lifestyle retail (boutique enterprises that support healthy living)
- Housing that support a healthy environment and lifestyle
Community
A welcoming space designed to bring people together, fostering connection, collaboration, and shared experiences for all ages within Broadview Heights.
Natural
An environment that embraces warmth and authenticity through organic materials, soft light, and calming elements that reflect the surrounding landscape.
Inspiring
A place that sparks curiosity and creativity, encouraging learning, exploration, and new ideas within a thoughtfully designed setting.
Site Analysis
After getting the lay of the land, we looked over the plot of land we were given to work in as a whole to determine where exactly our building should be placed. We analyzed the land and the surrounding area and after careful consideration, our team decided the best place would to be in one of the intersection corners between the nursing home and the life center. Allowing our library to be the bridge between the two and giving the shortest distance of travel from those 2 places.
Masterplanning
With the site picked, we started laying out the outline of our building using blocked out layouts of the rooms needed in the library and the dimensions to those rooms. After that we laid them out on our map trying diffrent configurations till we have our desired layout. We put that layout into our masterplan.
Building Massing and Sketches
Began with a lot of sketches to fit our concept car, making sure to stay within our guidelines.
After the chosen design was selected, I began to plan how to model my design
2035 Camaro Concept design
The team came together on the chosen design to create the 2035 SS concept car. My design was not chosen but I had the privilege of becoming the Headlight Designer when when we split up into the concept car's components. The concept car showcases our design language we made at the beginning:

- Vison
Headlight Design: Research
As the lead headlight designer for the concept Camaro, I explored the modern lighting trends in the automotive world of today and the future.
The key technologies I found were:
- Halogen
- Xenon
- Laser
- LED
